Jihad against Market Traders Kills at Least Eighty-Nine in Paktika.

"Truly, if the Hypocrites stir up sedition, if the agitators in the City do not desist, We shall urge you to go against them & set you over them. Then they will not be able to stay as your neighbours for any length of time. They shall have a curse on them. Whenever they are found, they shall be seized & slain without mercy – a fierce slaughter – murdered, a horrible murdering." So Allah informs his drooling devotees, in a book so dreadful that it must be protected from criticism by the very real threat of violence, the Koran, in verse 33:60.

'Hypocrites' refers to those Muslims who aren't quite as vehement in their lust for violence against the infidel as would satisfy those Muslims toting rocket-launchers all day long. Maybe they're going to the market in preparation for iftar & not manning a machine gun, in which case, they are fit for a horrible murdering, as were the 89 shoppers & stall holders blown to pieces in a market in the east of Afghanistan, as reported by the BBC three hours ago (hat-tip to Julie @MsIntervention):

Afghan market car bomb kills 89 in Paktika province

At least 89 people have been killed and dozens injured in a suicide attack at a busy market in eastern Afghanistan's Paktika province, local officials say.

They say the attacker drove a 4x4 vehicle into the market in Orgun district and detonated the explosives.

The market was full of people doing their shopping for the Muslim festival Ramadan at the time of the attack.

No group has claimed the attack, but Taliban insurgents said they had not carried it out.

"We clearly announce that it was not done by the Mujahedeen of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan," Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid was quoted as saying by Reuters news agency.

Eyewitnesses and medical staff said local hospitals were overrun with casualties after one of the deadliest attacks in months in Afghanistan.

The eastern province of Paktika shares a border with Pakistan's restive and volatile tribal areas.

Orgun is one of Paktika's safest areas, though members of the Haqqani militant network are thought to have a presence there.
